Frequently asked questions.
How do I book an appointment?
All appointments go through the Booking page. Send your idea, placement, size, and any reference images. Once your request is approved, you’ll receive a message with next steps and deposit details.
Do you take walk-ins?
No — Kuroko Ink is appointment only. Every piece is custom, and each session is planned with intent.
How much is the deposit?
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your session. This goes toward the final cost of your tattoo and covers design time. The deposit amount varies depending on the scale of your piece.
How do your prices work?
Pricing is based on size, placement, style, and time. You’ll receive a quote once your idea is reviewed. Larger projects can be done across multiple sessions if needed.
Can you design something for me?
Yes — most work at Kuroko Ink is custom-built from scratch. Bring your concept, theme, or inspiration. I’ll translate it into something unique, clean, and made specifically for your body.
Can I bring reference images?
Absolutely. References help show the mood, shapes, or energy you want — but I do not copy existing tattoos. Every design is original.
What should I do before my appointment?
Eat a proper meal
Stay hydrated
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
Moisturise your skin the week leading up
Wear comfortable clothing that gives access to the area we’re tattooing
Do you tattoo hands, necks, or faces?
These areas are done case-by-case. I need to be sure the design fits the anatomy and that you fully understand the long-term commitment.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please give at least 48 hours’ notice so your slot can be filled.
Can I bring someone with me?
For hygiene and focus, the studio is one client at a time. You're welcome to FaceTime or message someone during breaks, but no additional people in the workspace.
Is the studio licensed and clean?
Yes — Kuroko Ink follows strict hygiene protocols: single-use needles, sterile setup, medical-grade cleaning, and local council licensing standards.
How do I care for my new tattoo?
You’ll receive full aftercare instructions at your appointment, but in short:
Keep the wrap on as directed
Wash gently with fragrance-free soap
Moisturise lightly
Avoid soaking, sunbeds, pools, and heavy exercise for the healing period
No picking or scratching
Do you do cover-ups?
Sometimes. It depends on the old tattoo’s size, age, saturation, and placement. Send a clear photo in natural light and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
Do you do touch-ups?
Yes. If your tattoo needs a touch-up within the healing window, it’s free. After that, a small fee may apply depending on the work needed.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes — Kuroko Ink accepts ClearPay, allowing you to split payments after your deposit. Your deposit must still be paid upfront to secure your booking, but the remaining balance can be managed through Clearpay’s payment options.
